TIMER keyword

Starts a timer that execute a SUB.

Syntax

TIMER interval, sub, limit

Parameters

  • interval: time interval in milliseconds for ticks (required)
  • sub: subroutine to execute (required)
  • limit: maximum number of executions, by default unlimited

Example

TIMER 3000, myFunction      'Call function every 3 seconds
TIMER 2500, myFunction, 1 'Call function once
myTimer = TIMER 1000, myFunction
